An America United Praises House Republicans For Introducing Environmental Plan

An America United – a national 501©4 advocacy group founded by Maryland Governor Larry Hogan – today praised House Republicans, including House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), Representative Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) , and Representative Bruce Westerman (R-AR) for introducing a GOP environmental plan into legislation.

In Maryland, Governor Hogan has introduced bold legislation to set Maryland on a path to 100% clean energy by 2040. The Hogan administration has also committed a historic $6 billion toward wide-ranging restoration initiatives of the Chesapeake Bay.

“I am pleased to see my fellow Republicans are outlining their own ideas about how to address our environmental challenges,” said Governor Hogan. “In Maryland, we’re proudly leading the charge on affordable clean energy and responsible greenhouse gas emission reductions. Americans shouldn’t have to choose between extreme proposals and no proposals at all.”
