“A Bigger Tent Party:” Governor Hogan Discusses Future of GOP on NBC’s Meet The Press

In case you missed it, Governor Hogan appeared on Meet The Press to discuss the COVID-19 pandemic and the future of the Republican party post-2020.

With Americans “completely frustrated with Washington…regardless of what happens in November,” the Republican party is going to need to focus on “becoming a bigger tent party.” As he writes about in his upcoming book Still Standing, Governor Hogan was re-elected overwhelmingly in the bluest state in America “by reaching out, by trying to find that middle ground…and avoiding divisive rhetoric.” As a result, Governor Hogan was able to win over suburban women, Democrats, Independents, and minority voters.
