An America United Hosts Annapolis Leadership Summit and 2022 Governor’s Celebration

ANNAPOLIS, MD — An America United today will host two major events focused on promoting common sense leadership.

The first event called “The Annapolis Leadership Summit” will bring together public and private sector leaders to talk about how to get America on the right track. The event will kick off with a message from Secretary Condoleezza Rice. In her welcome remarks, Secretary Rice will say, “It is so crucial to have this gathering of accomplished leaders in the public and private sectors to discuss the important issues challenging our Democracy…In Maryland, my friend and colleague Governor Hogan has set an example for how to lead in this divisive time.”

Political strategist Russ Schriefer will then moderate a panel analyzing the midterm election results, which will include author Jonah Goldberg, founder of the Cook Political Report Charlie Cook, Echelon Insights Partner Kai Chen Yeo, and Political Scientist Elaine Kamarck.

The panel will be followed by fireside chats with AOL Founder and entrepreneur Steve Case, former Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger, former FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb, and Secretary Ben Carson, which will be moderated by American Enterprise Institute Director of Domestic Policy Ryan Streeter and journalist Nina Easton.

Finally, Business Roundtable Senior Vice President Dane Linn will moderate a panel of business leaders, including founder of Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) Ed Schweitzer, TravelCenters of America CEO Jonathan M. Pertchik, and Founder & CEO of UpSmith Wyatt Smith, and former American Enterprise Institute President Arthur Brooks will deliver a message.

This evening, An America United will host the 2022 Governor’s Celebration at the Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland in Hanover, Maryland. Governor Hogan will speak to the crowd of over 1,000 supporters and hold a media gaggle with the press. Media can RSVP for the event here.

“For eight years, Governor Hogan has demonstrated how to lead and deliver common sense conservative results in a deep-blue state, and we’ve seen overwhelming support in Maryland and across the country for building on this model of success. We are excited to host these events to celebrate that success and look toward the future,” said An America United Executive Director David Weinman.
