As President Trump Acknowledges States Have Been “Battered,” Governor Hogan Implores Federal Leaders to Pass Fiscal Aid on CNN

Governor Hogan appeared on CNN as he continues to advocate on behalf of the nation’s governors.

Yesterday, while leading a call with the nation’s governors and the Vice President, Governor Hogan urged the Trump administration to break the “logjam” in the Senate that’s holding up bipartisan and essential relief for states.

As President Trump acknowledged at The White House press briefing only hours later, state government budgets have been “battered” by the pandemic – yet the CARES Act contained no funding to address these drastic state revenue shortfalls.

Without “immediate” support, states will be forced to make massive cuts to “essential services,” devastating “the economic recovery and our efforts to get people back to work.”
