Governor Hogan Continues To Call Out “Trump Cancel Culture”

Governor Hogan is continuing to call out attempts from former President Trump to “cancel” any Republican who is willing to call out his lies, arguing the best way forward for his party is to focus on the future, common sense solutions, and bringing Americans together.

In response to the RNC voting to censure Congresswoman Liz Cheney and Congressman Adam Kinzinger, Governor Hogan tweeted today, “The GOP I believe in is the party of freedom and truth. It’s a sad day for my party—and the country—when you’re punished just for expressing your beliefs, standing on principle, and refusing to tell blatant lies.”

Governor Hogan is also coming to the defense of his fellow Republican governors. As former President Trump is threatening to support a primary challenger to New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu, Governor Hogan told The New York Times, “This is another outrageous example of the Trump cancel culture that will do nothing except help elect more Democrats. If we double down on failure and focus on the former president’s strange personal grievances, then we will deserve the result.”
