Governor Larry Hogan joined ABC’s “This Week With George Stephanopoulos” and CBS’ “Face the Nation” to discuss his recovery roadmaps for Maryland and the nation’s governors.
According to former FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb, Governor Hogan’s recovery roadmap is “a prudent, staged plan” based on the input of the nation’s top public health experts with “three-phases” that “are timed against measurable milestones of progress.” Governor Hogan’s commitment to presenting the public a “well-thought-out, gradual, safe and effective path forward” once again shows the importance of transparent, clear, and fact-based communication from leaders during the pandemic.
Governor Hogan also discussed his leadership making “progress” on the nation’s governors urgent request for $500 billion in emergency relief for states that’s essential for the recovery. President Trump has endorsed the aid as a bipartisan proposal from Senator Bill Cassidy (R-LA) and Senator Menendez (D-NJ) continues to gain support.
