Governor Hogan Promotes An America United’s Plan of Action for Safer Communities on Midwest Tour

This week, Governor Hogan toured Nebraska and Iowa to meet with first responders and law enforcement to promote An America United’s plan to address skyrocketing violent crime across our country by re-funding the police, holding violent criminals accountable, combating the opioid crisis and securing the border.

In Maryland, Governor Hogan has been a national leader in supporting our men and women in law enforcement, as well as an example of how we can advocate for common sense proposals that crack down on violent crime and provide support to victims.

Governor Hogan began his trip in Omaha, Nebraska joined by Congressman Don Bacon for a roundtable with state and local police and firefighter leaders to talk about how we can support the dedicated men and women who risk their lives every single day to keep the rest of us safe.

Later that evening, Governor Hogan joined Nebraska Governor Ricketts and Nebraska Republican gubernatorial nominee Jim Pillen.

On Thursday, Governor Hogan started the day with Iowa Congressman Randy Feenstra thanking members of law enforcement and discussing An America United’s Plan to make our communities safer.

Later that day, Governor Hogan met with Governor Kim Reynolds at the Iowa state fair and spent time thanking law enforcement members, first responders and veterans.

The Governor then met with the Pleasant Hill Police Department and Mayor Sara Kurvoski to tour their new police facility and talk about the efforts they are making towards improving public safety in their community.

On Friday, Governor Hogan spoke to the Northside Conservative Club in Ankeny, Iowa.

Finally, Governor Hogan visited Ames, Iowa to meet with Iowa State University Research Park leaders to hear about how they’re driving economic growth and opportunity through workforce development programs that partner with the private sector.
