Governor Hogan Urges Support For Ukraine in PBS’ “Firing Line” Interview And Iowa Event with Vice President Mike Pence and Senator Joni Ernst

Governor Hogan has been urging the Republican party to adhere to President Reagan’s foreign policy doctrine of “peace through strength” by standing with the people of Ukraine against Russian aggression.

This weekend, Governor Hogan was interviewed by Iowa Senator Joni Ernst at the Bastion Institute in Des Moines about why a strong America leading the free world matters here at home. Vice President Mike Pence also joined the event.

Governor Hogan also weighed in on the debate within the Republican party about whether to continue to provide military aid to Ukraine on PBS’ “Firing Line with Margaret Hoover.” According to Governor Hogan, “The Republican party I believe in works to secure peace through strength and stands up for our allies and to our enemies. There is nothing conservative about turning our backs on the brave people of Ukraine who are fighting for their freedom.”
