According to an independent Goucher College poll released this morning, 82% of Marylanders approve of Governor Hogan’s leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic with the overwhelming majority rating his balanced reopening approach as “about right.” Past surveys have found that Governor Hogan has the highest COVID-19 response approval of any governor in the country.
This comes after a Goucher College poll released yesterday showed that 71% of Maryland registered voters approve of Governor Hogan’s job performance, including 69% of Democrats, 77% of Republicans, 71% of African Americans, and 72% of women. Even as 70% of Americans think the nation is on the wrong track, 63% of Marylanders describe the state as headed in the right direction – the highest in several years.
