Governor Hogan spoke to NBC News about the urgent “need” for more Republican leaders who can grow the party’s appeal.
According to NBC, “moderate Republicans have a strong track record of winning governorships in states that might never vote for a Republican president, especially in tough years for Democrats, as this one is shaping up to be.” Polling has consistently shown that the most popular governors in America are Republicans in blue states, including Maryland Governor Larry Hogan, Vermont Governor Phil Scott, and Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker.
According to a recent poll, Governor Hogan’s approval rating is at 74%, 20 points higher than President Biden’s approval in the most deep-blue state in America and near or above 70% for every demographic group in the state.
