“No More Excuses:” Governor Hogan Calls On Congress To Deliver Long Overdue Stimulus Package

As Congress returned to session yesterday, Governor Hogan called on them to finally pass the long overdue stimulus package, noting “every day that Congress has failed to deliver…American families have suffered and small businesses have permanently closed their doors.”

Governor Hogan also wrote a letter to the incoming Biden administration outlining Maryland’s top federal priorities, including a “COVID-19 relief package that includes robust funding for states and small businesses” and “a significant infrastructure package to help spur our economic recovery.” As chair of the National Governors Association, Governor Hogan led a national initiative focused on rebuilding America’s crumbling infrastructure.

Governor Hogan has been pushing for Congress to pass another round of stimulus since April, even writing a New York Times op-ed advocating for action and meeting with the Problem Solvers Caucus to praise their bipartisan compromise bill.
