“Unacceptable:” Governor Hogan Condemns Recent Rise in Hate Crimes Against Asian Americans on CNN’s State of the Union​​

Governor Hogan joined CNN “State of the Union” to discuss Maryland’s “balanced approach” to reopening safely and the recent rise in hate crimes against Asian Americans.

Over the past year, hate crimes against Asian Americans have spiked over 150%. Governor Hogan called this disturbing trend “unacceptable,” noting that his Korean-American wife, three daughters, and grandkids have all “felt some discrimination personally.”
