Following President Biden’s election victory in November, Governor Hogan wrote an op-ed in The Wall Street Journal, urging then President-elect Biden to reject his “party’s lurch leftward.” According to Governor Hogan, President Biden “wasn’t elected to divide and disrupt. He won the election because America is fed up with bitter partisanship, divisiveness and dysfunction.” As President Biden has increasingly governed to the left, Governor Hogan has argued for compromise and moderation, warning about the costs of more bitter partisanship and the rising threat of inflation.
