Governor Hogan wrote to President Biden urging the federal government to take four specific steps to combat COVID-19, including making booster shots available immediately for seniors and vulnerable populations, addressing boosters for Americans who received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, advancing full FDA approval of all vaccines, and expediting approval of vaccines for 5- to 11-year-olds.
According to Governor Hogan, “Inexact and changing guidance at the federal level has a real impact on states’ ability to do the frontline work of fighting this pandemic. Maryland is much better prepared than most states, but we need leadership at the federal level.”
